EN - MTBA is proud to present a first again in Manchester! Manchester Turkish
Film Festival (Short Film Selection) is presented FREE for all film lovers with
the support of Manchester Metropolitan University School of Art. A collection of
award winning seven Turkish short films (with English subtitles) are also
selected from 19th Eskisehir University International Film Festival 2017 (EFF).

The event is FREE for all! Although we have large seating capacity (158 seats),

Manchester Türk Film Festivali (Kısa Film Seçkisi), Manchester Metropolitan
Universitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi desteğiyle Manchester’da ilk kez ÜCRETSİZ
olarak tüm sinemaseverler için gösterime giriyor. Filmler İngilizce alt yazılı
olacağı için tüm izleyicilere açıktır. 19. Eskişehir Üniversitesi Uluslararası
Film Festivali 2017’den de seçilmiş toplam yedi adet ödüllü kısa metraj film
festivalde yer almaktadır.

Festival tüm izleyicilerimize ücretsizdir. Film salonu 158 kişilik olmasına
rağmen, önceden yer ayırtmanızı tavsiye etmekteyiz. Bu sinema severler için
kaçırılmaması gereken eşsiz bir Türk film şölenidir.

Manchester Turkish Film Festival 2017
Calling all film lovers: on Thursday evening, the Manchester Turkish British
Association will be presenting the city’s first Turkish film festival. Seven
award-winning Turkish short filmsfilms - a mixture of animation, documentary,
comedy and experimental - have been selected from this year’s Eskisehir
University International Film Festival for screening.
The mini one day festival is taking place with the support of Manchester
Metropolitan University School of Art, which is hosting the event in their large
158-seat cinema. Attendance is free of charge and open to all, but prior
registration is required.
MTBA chair Serap Yilmaz told T-VINE: “The Turkish cinema industry is highly
regarded in the art world, as illustrated by the many awards the films,
directors and actors have won at international film festivals. We [MTBA] are one
of many British Turkish associations promoting Turkish culture and arts in the
UK, and we are truly proud of bringing Turkish cinema to movie-goers in
Manchester. We are open to collaborating with other Turkish organisations in
Britain to develop similar cultural projects.”
“Our Turkish association’s work and remit are underpinned by the view that
‘possibilities are endless’. We have delivered many innovative and successful
activities for the local community. We believe this new film festival will be
similarly well-received, and we hope to see you all there.”
About Manchester Turkish British Association (MTBA)
The MTBA was founded by members of the Manchester’s Turkish community with the
object of strengthening and developing the cultural and social ties between
British and Turkish people living in Manchester and neighbouring region. The
MTBA is a registered charity, which aims to enhance friendship, and provide
educational and cultural events to promote Turkey’s rich and diverse traditions
and culture, art and heritage.

Manchester’da ilk kez Türk Film Festivali düzenleniyor
İngiltere’nin kuzey batısında yer alan Manchester şehri bu yıl ilk kez
düzenlenecek Türk Film Festivali’ne ev sahipliği yapacak.
Manchester’da yaşayan Türkler tarafından kurulan Manchester Türk-İngiliz
Derneği’nin (MTBA), Manchester Metropolitan Üniversitesi’nin desteğiyle
düzenleyeceği festival, 8 Haziran’da gerçekleştirilecek. İki saat sürecek
festivalde 7 kısa film gösterilecek. Konuyla ilgili MTBA Yönetim Kurulu üyeleri
şu açıklamayı yaptı:
“Manchester Türk Film Festivali (Kısa Film Seçkisi), Manchester Metropolitan
Universitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi desteğiyle Manchester’da ilk kez ücretsiz

Konuyla ilgili MTBA Yönetim Kurulu tarafından yapılan yazılı açıklamada;
