NYTFF 1999-2002

The 4th Annual New York Turkish Film Festival was attended by 2,000 people and presented 13 feature films and 9 short films, and was reviewed by the Village Voice which called Ümit Ünal's 9 "masterfully shot and edited" and Zeki Demirkubuz' Fate "a festival stand-out". This year, for the first time, we were able to share our film festival with another Turkish organization, TACA in Seattle, WA by providing the organization with programming and logistic support.

The 3rd Annual New York Turkish Film Festival was partially shared with the Freer and Sackler Galleries of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. The Smithsonian called its program "Turkish Cinema Now". Our own festival

Co-presented Omer Kavur: Sculpture of Cinematic Time with the Anthology Film Archives. The first retrospective ever in the United States on a Turkish film director, this series went on to tour the United States and was featured on the cover of the Harvard University Film Center's Film Bulletin. The featured films were:
