The Alanya Fortess



The documentary depicts Alaiye (Alanya), founded by Alaaddin Keykubat, one of the Anatolian Seljuk rulers who got hold of central South Anatolia, and tells the story of how this Byzantian fortress, obtained without bloodshed, was turned into a city in time.

“ Mystery Among the City Walls “ tells about the archeological excavations held within the Alanya Fortress and studies on art history, reflecting the good and bad memories of the city and the schemes that had been going on in the palace during the short period it has served as the capital.

Although a heavenly spot of Anatolia. Alanya has become a tourism center choking among concrete buildings. The documentary also describes the future of the town which is not very promising environmentally.
