Gordion Of Midas



Reciting the story of Midas, one of the two kings of the Frygian civilisation known to us, the documentary introduces the Frygian kingdom with all its facets.

The cities of Gordion and Midas’ City, the only relics of the civilisation are reflected with all their structures. The tumuluses and the excavations made in the ancient city of Gordion that eamed wordwide fame are reflected in detail.
Another issue exemined in the documentary is the skeleton of King Midas, lost since 1957, who went into mytology with his donkey ears and known to wish everything he touched wold turn into gold.
Scientific research held on the skull of Midas proves that he didn’t commit suicide, but was killed as a result of a blow on his head. Furthermore, the documentary approaches the myth about “ donkey ears” scientifically and discovers the truthful part of it.

In short, the documentary tells about the sorrowful story of Mıdas, who hed coincidentally become a king. The documentary also exposes the construction of the tumulus decorated with the oldest wooden furniture in the word with computer graphics.

“Gordion Of Mıdas” describes the Frygian civilisation in detail, bringing the world’s largest tumulus and all the metalic and wooden artefacts in it before the viewers’ eyes for the firs time.

The documentary also reflects the inscription regarding the way Frygian civilisation influenced Hellenia, musical instruments and the relations of Anatolia with the neighbouring countries.
