Hakan Sarıgül I was born in Turkey and educated about Marine
Transportation and Management Engineering. I have worked as a chief officer in
oceangoing vessels for 7 years and during this time I improved my cinema
knowledge by reading and watching cinema history, also wrote 3 scripts for long
feature films. I had my first education about film directing at Istanbul Digital
Film Academy from 2018 to 2019. Then I continued my education at Barcelona, in
the one-year filmmaking international master program of the Escola Superior de
Cinema I Audiovisuals de Catalunya ESCAC and I got scholarship for master of
directing for next season starts in 2022. I set up Sarigul Films production
company and started to do short films under the name of it. My last 3 short film
projects are based on my long scripts for feature film and I hope to continue my
career as a feature film director.
