Tanrı insan karşılaşması iki şekilde olur. Tanrı insanla ya iletişim kurar, ya
da onun için yazmış olduğu hikayeyi icra ettirir. İnsan bunun sebebini
sorgulamalı mıdır? Tabii ki. İnsan bunu değiştirebilir mi? Şayet bir tanrı varsa
hayır. “Adam’s Motive” filmi sıradan bir Adem’in, günlük hayatında Tanrı ile
karşılaşıp onun için yazılmış olan kaderi sorgulamaya başlamasını konu edinir.
Adem Tanrı ile karşılaştığında kendi iradesini keşfedecektir ve bu iradeyi
kullanarak kaderini değiştirmek isteyecektir. Ancak Tanrı’nın Adem için bir
sürprizi vardır. Kader ve cüzi iradenin aynı anda bir hayatın içinde
barınamayacağını anlatan bu sürpriz, Adem’in sil baştan varlık kavramını
sorgulamasına sebep olacaktır.
The influence that God has over the lives of human beings can be enacted in two
separate spectacles. The Almighty One will reveal himself, choosing to make
direct contact with the individual in question or he will perform, from a
distance, the fate that he has written out for them. Are humans to question the
logic behind this? As is fitting of human nature, the answer is, of course, yes.
Can humans change this? In the case that there is indeed a God, the answer is a
flat out no. The film, "Adam's Motive" begins on an ordinary day for our average
Adam. It is on this day that he stumbles into the clutches of God and starts
questioning the fate that has been planned out for him. After their interaction,
Adam unearths his free will and by using this free will he tries to change his
predetermined course to his liking. Nevertheless, God shows that he has other
things in store for him. This particular performance by The Almighty One reveals
that a human's lifetime can only be influenced by one of two things - free will
or fate. And it is after this epiphany strikes him that our average Adam begins
to question the very existence of mankind...
