We are so sorry to inform you that “Workshop: More Than Dogs And Cats - Wild
Life In Big Cities” on 12th April, 14:00 is canceled due to health issues of our
tutor Navid Linnemann.
Instead of the planned workshop, festival will screen the “POTLUCK AWARD”
collection at the same time at SALT GALATA.
Details of the “POTLUCK AWARD” collection can be found below.

The “Potluck Award” is the money collected from this year’s submission fees, and
it will be given to the best title. This way, filmmakers who submitted their
film to the festival will be contributing to a fellow filmmaker. The winning
film will be announced on the Closing of the festival and through festival’s
social media pages and official website.

Katılımcıların ödemiş oldukları başvuru ücretlerinin toplamıyla oluşturulan
“Potluck Ödülü”, en iyi filme takdim edilecek. Bu şekilde, başvuruda bulunan tüm
sinemacılar, bir başka sinemacıya doğrudan katkıda bulunmuş olacaklar. Potluck
Ödülü’nü kazanan film, festivalin kapanış gecesinde ilan edilecek ve aynı

6th INTERNATIONAL CHANGING PERSPECTIVES FILM FESTIVAL STARTS IN ISTANBUL
6th International Changing Perspectives Film Festival’s program is online!
Organized by Katadrom Arts, Culture and Social Politics Association with the
support of The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, ICPFF will be held from 10 - 15
April 2018.
A “Take-Away” Festival
Owing to its unique “Take Away” format, Changing Perspectives Film Festival
starts in Istanbul and travels various cities of the world throughout the year
and offers its participating films a chance to meet audience in many different
occasions. This year, besides its regular stops Berlin and Yogyakarta, ICPFF
will visit New York and Vancouver too. In the past years, ICPFF had been
organized in many cities including Sofia, Copenhagen, Madrid, Freiburg, Leipzig,
Sao Paolo, Tallinn, Malatya and Edirne.
SALT Galata and SUPA are Hosting ICPFF!
The screenings and workshop will take place at SALT Galata Auditorium and the
special events of the festival will be happening at SUPA. All the screenings and
events will be free of charge! Within the festival, special screenings will take
place at SGDD-ASAM to support refugee children.
Main Theme, “Wild”
Aiming to bring new perspectives to its followers and audience from the day it
started, ICPFF announced its main theme for 2018 to be “WILD”. Along with the
with screening of films that are facing the Human/Nature, City/Wilderness,
People/Environment relation, films that bring a new point of view to natural and
artificial phenomena will meet the audience. The “WILD” theme will be thoroughly
evaluated with screenings, workshops, Q&As and seminars throughout the festival.
The Potluck Award
We are happy to announce that for the first time in ICPFF, this year we will be
given the “Potluck Award” to the best title. “Potluck Award” is collection of
this year’s submission fees. With this way, all the filmmakers who submitted
their film to the festival will be contributing to a fellow filmmaker. The
international programming team of the ICPFF will be acting as the Jury for the
“Potluck Award”. The winning film will be announced on the Opening of the
festival and through festival’s social media pages and official website.
SECTIONS of the PROGRAM
Having almost a hundred films from more than fifty countries, the programme of
ICPFF consists of eight sections. “WILD”; the main theme, “Cultural Insights”;
where the cultural perspectives and contrast of life will be focused, “Ridicule”;
where the films that entreats the absurd and humorous sides of life will be
screened, “Purple Portraits”; where the stories and experiences of powerful
women will be told, “Umbrella”; standing against all kinds of discrimination and
exclusion, “Swerve Away”; stories of lives that are changed with a sharp turn,
“So Far, So Close”; stories of late history, personal history and nostalgia,
“Hybrid Sensations”; where all the sensations turn upside-down.
SHORT FILMS to FEATURE PRODUCTIONS
Starting with only short film in 2013, for the last two years Changing
Perspectives has been including a selection of influencing feature films of the
year. In this 6th edition, ICPFF is offering to its audience Pelin Esmer’s
“Something Useful”, Aipgiray Uğurlu’s “Organic Love Stories”, Fikret Reyhan’s
“Yellow Heat” and Evgenia Tirdatova’s and Orhan Tekeoğlu’s “Rudolf Nureyev:
Island of His Dreams”.
WORKSHOPS
On it’s 6th edition, Changing Perspectives is offering three different workshops
to its followers. Political communication expert Şeyda Taluk will be tutoring
the “Pitching Workshop” for filmmakers and future filmmakers to raise their
abilities of telling and presenting their stories and projects. Navid Linneman,
one of the writers of German-Turkish online magazine Maviblau, will be
presenting the “More than Cats and Dogs, Wild Life in Big Cities” workshop.
Architect, artist and cultural volunteer Erdoğan Altındiş will be meeting the
participants with “Sustainable Tourism and Houses of Ayvalık” workshop.
Starting on the 10 April 2018, Tuesday, 6th International Changing Perspectives
Film Festival is presenting an unforgettable, five day long festival experience
to local and visiting cinema lovers in Istanbul with its screenings at SALT
Galata, SUPA and SGDD-ASAM (The Association for Solidarity with Asylum Seekers
and Migrants) and the other events of the festival.
