In this video installation a woman with no hair maintains continuous eye contact
with the user and the user is called to position digital hairpiece images to the
woman’s head. This call is not much different than the verbal or non-verbal call
of modern society to almost everyone - “Shape your body -- no matter what!” This
installation is inspired by Leyla Uslu’s daily life experiences who lost her
hair because of an illness rarely seen in young age. The installation reverses
this call and aims direct experience of the user of this despotic position.
