15-16 Haziran 1970’te yaşananlar, Türkiye'deki işçi sınıfının varlığını, gücünü
ve mücadele kapasitesini ortaya koyar; devletin, sermayenin, siyasetin, ordunun
ve sendikal hareketin o güne kadar işçilere dair bildiklerini büyük ölçüde
değiştirir. İşçilerin Haziranı belgeseli ise Türkiye’nin sosyopolitik tarihine
uzun soluklu ve sarsıcı izler bırakan bu kitlesel eylemin öyküsünü beyaz perdeye
aktarıyor.
The events of June 15-16 1970 demonstrated the existence, power, and capacity
for the struggle of the working class in Turkey, and changed to a great extent
what the state, capital, politics, the military and the trade union movement had
known about workers until that day. Workers’ June brings to the screen the story
of this public movement that left long-term and shocking traces in Turkey’s so
ciopolitical history.
