In 2084, a neutron star passing near Earth disrupts the planet’s gravitational
balance, slowly pushing it away from the Sun. As global temperatures plunge,
oceans freeze and continents are swallowed by ice, bringing life on Earth to the
brink of extinction. Anticipating the catastrophe, a small and elite group of
scientists manages to build a fleet of four space shuttles and escape the dying
planet. Their mission is to venture into deep space and find a new habitable
world where humanity can begin again.
But the long journey through the unknown proves devastating. Accidents,
dwindling resources, and the harshness of space gradually destroy the fleet.
After 96 years, only a single shuttle remains: Tiro-8. Carrying the complete
digital archive of every book ever produced on Earth, it preserves the last
memory of human civilization. As the final vessel drifts through the darkness of
the universe, its crew bears the fragile hope of finding a new home—and ensuring
that humanity’s knowledge and story are not lost forever.
